An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
